The Circle (of Netbook Gamer Jedi Knight Articles) is Now Complete!

Over at GearDiary.com I have a series called 'The Netbook Gamer'. Recently I stepped through the entire Kyle Katarn series on my Lenovo s10 netbook to review for the series:

Dark Forces

Jedi Knight

Mysteries of the Sith

Jedi Knight II

Jedi Academy

The articles look at the games through a historical lens, serving as content reviews, retrospectives, as well as technical reviews regarding running on a low-end netbook.

Enjoy!

Read them. Enjoyed them.

Now I need to make another run through with those games.

After playing TFU1 and giving TFU2 a try, I miss games like JK and JO even more.

If you 'gave TFU2 a try' ... you were probably half-way through already ...

I was pretty critical of TFU as a very average and flawed game ... but boy it looks brilliant compared to the new one. I mean, recycling areas and encounters in the *tutorial area*? In a game that is only 4-5 hours long? Ugh.

Agreed. I finished TFU and it was reasonably fun. The extra skins are nice. Basically for me it is now the Crazy Infinities Adventures of Qui-Gon Jinn and Mace Windo.

The fact the JO etc. are so moddable alone puts it miles ahead of TFU for me. And honestly I think I enjoyed the RotS game more than TFU, which presumably means there is something wrong with me...
